    Tom Clarke

North Ryde Remedial Massage Therapist Tom Clarke

Tom has been active and involved in fitness since playing field hockey as a child. His philosophy is ‘take care of your overall health and the rest takes care of itself’. Massage became very important and effective in his rehabilitation after suffering a number of sports injuries from running and martial arts. Tom does weight training 5 days per week, Hapkido martial arts 3 days per week, and practises yoga and callisthenics daily, so by the end of the week, he loves to get a great massage.

Tom believes in helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, which is why he has chosen massage as his career. He strongly promotes the idea that we can improve our lives so much by simply looking after our bodies through a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, adequate sleep and regular massages. After a great massage, clients are better able to get back to their daily activities, whether that be sports or life in general, with greater range of movement, less muscular pain and feeling better overall.

Remedial Massage at Ryde Natural Health Clinic

When muscles become knotted, tense or damaged, remedial massage provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. Remedial massage holistically treats the body. Our therapists always endeavour to identify any biomechanical dysfunction, thus healing the cause of any problems you may have, as well as any accompanying symptoms – such as tight muscles or muscle pain.

Our candle-lit, essential-oil ‘relaxation remedial massage’ is the perfect way to unwind after a busy week. Our Relaxation Remedial Massage will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and care free in no time at all.

If you love your sport, whether you’re a top athlete or a weekend warrior you’ll love our ‘sports remedial massage’. Your therapist will tailor the session to suit you and your sporting goals, be they to prevent injury, relieve injury, or to relieve after-game soreness.

For all the mums-to-be out there, our ‘pregnancy remedial massage’ is hard to go past! Pregnancy remedial massage uses a combination of gentle and direct techniques specifically designed to ease the tensions and pain experienced throughout pregnancy as your baby grows (available from week 12 through to full term). Regular pregnancy massage will help to make pregnancy more comfortable, and can be incorporated into routine pre-natal care.
