Chiropractor Dr Johanna McFadgen is available for appointments:
- Tuesdays 10am – 8pm
- Thursdays 10am – 8pm
What to expect at your first appointment
Your first Chiropractic appointment will be about 40 minutes long. Johanna will ask many questions about your medical history, with an emphasis on your medical history relevant to your pain and/or injury. She will then undertake a series of movement-based tests to determine the underlying causes and contributing factors of your pain/ concern (ie. the diagnosis). These tests may include a full spinal examination, postural assessment, orthopaedic testing, muscle testing, and neurological testing. If required, Johanna may refer you for x-rays or an MRI, however this is not always required to provide a diagnosis and commence treatment.
Patients are typically provided treatment in their first visit, unless it is determined that it is un-safe to do so (eg. Johanna requires the outcome of an MRI prior to proceeding with treatment).
Return and ongoing visits are usually 15-20 minutes long and offer treatment & periodic comparative assessments to work towards your goals.
